Individual Support

There are so many ways individuals can support our charity and help us change the lives of young people across the North East.

Whether it’s your time, your skills or your fundraising, we value every contribution an individual can make. Getting involved with Smile For Life can be such a rewarding experience, both for our supporters and our beneficiaries.

Fundraising challenges

If you are setting yourself a challenge, why not use it to help disabled young people in the North East? Whether it is an endurance challenge like the Great North Run, Blaydon Race or Coast to Coast cycle, or even something like a sponsored silence – by raising money for Smile For Life your actions can make a real difference. Our fantastic team are on hand to give you a hand with your fundraising, whether it’s a marathon or a bake sale! Register us now at https://www.justgiving.com/smileforlife/donate

Keep your eyes on our News & Events page, where you can keep up-to-date with events organised by the Smile For Life team! So far we have climbed Kilimanjaro, walked the Great Wall of China and even cycled across Cambodia and Vietnam! What could be next?

Legacies

By leaving a legacy, or ‘gift’ to the charity in your will you can help to make a lasting difference long into the future. If you need help with will-writing and advice on how to leave a legacy in your will, get in touch.

Payroll Giving

Payroll Giving donations are deducted from your wages before tax is taken. Find out if your company supports Payroll Giving by heading to www.apgo.org.uk/working-with-employers/. If they don’t, then why not suggest it? It is a simple way for a business to boost their charitable giving and support a charity that that is close to their hearts.

Donations – monthly and one-off ( providing bank details )

Donations make a huge difference to our work, no matter the amount you are able to pledge. You can set up a direct debit or standing order to pledge regularly, or make a one-off donation via bank transfer (sort code 20-40-09, account number 60264792) or cheque. Whatever you choose to do, rest assured your money is only used to help improve the lives of young people who need it.

Skills Support eg. IT skills, HR, Maintenance

No matter the industry you work in or the experience you have, there are ways Smile For Life and the people we help could benefit from your skills. Maintenance, IT support, accounting, building, training and Human Resources are just a few of the skills that we could use within the charity. Get in touch to discuss how you can help!
